With Photo Fora, our goal is to provide Indian photographers the opportunity to connect with leading practitioners of the field from around the world. These experts bring with them not only a plethora of experience in globally renowned art institutions but also a deep understanding of the photographic arts. Leveraging this invaluable ecosystem of experts, we have curated a diverse panel to be chosen from for portfolio reviewing.

We encourage you to read through each of their profiles and select the ones who wish to have as a reviewer of your portfolio. For multiple opinions, you can select more than one reviewer.

  • Photographer & Curator
    Photography Faculty - NYU Florence

    Alessandra Capodacqua is a photographer, curator, and teacher of photography at NYU Florence. Her photographic work delves into questions of identity and gender through self-portraiture, and her work has been exhibited worldwide, and are in private and public collections. She has curated exhibitions and has participated to the organization of festivals of photography in Italy and abroad. Regularly invited as a portfolio reviewer and juror for International Photo Awards and Prizes, she is also a consultant and curator for the Donata Pizzi Collection dedicated to works by Italian women photographers.

  • Director & Curator - Galleri Image

    Since 1990, Beate Cegielska has curated numerous group and solo exhibitions by Danish and international artists in Europe, South Korea, China and India. For many years, she has also participated as a portfolio reviewer at different international photography festivals around the world.

  • Curator of Photography - Archives Center, NMAH, Smithsonian Institution

    David Haberstich is the Curator of Photography at the National Museum of American History, Smithsonian Institution.  Ph.D. Candidate, Indiana University. Studied with Minor White, Ralph Hattersley, Henry Holmes Smith, Ralph Gibson. Recent book: When the Circus Came to Town (photographs by Dawn V. Rogala), essays in Leonardo, History of Photography, Criticism, among others; curator of many Smithsonian exhibitions. 

  • Independent Curator and Writer

    Elizabeth Avedon is an independent curator and photo consultant. Former Director of Photo-Eye Gallery, Santa Fe; Creative Director for The Gere Foundation, Elizabeth has received recognition for her exhibition design and publishing projects, including Richard Avedon’s “In the American West” for the Amon Carter Museum, the Corcoran Gallery of Art, and Art Institute of Chicago; and exhibitions for the Leica Gallery, New York; the Menil Collection, Houston, Texas; and for the Estate of Diane Arbus, among others. Elizabeth curated the 2019 exhibition, MYTH OF A WOMAN: Photographs by Agnieszka Sosnowska, for the National Museum of Iceland, Reykjavik.

  • Curator - Kaunas Photography Gallery

    Gintaras Česonis, curator of the Kaunas Photography Gallery, Residency and Publishing House, is also an assoc. professor in Vilnius Art Academy. In 2009, he started working as the Head of the Lithuanian Photographers Association, where he successfully started gallery reconstruction, converting the gallery space to an important national multifunctional center including education, residency and publishing activities. Responsible for the Kaunas photography gallery and international art residencies program, has curated personal and group exhibitions, produced and edited  around 30 photography books of well-known and emerging photographers.

  • Artistic Director - PhotoVisa

    Writer, curator, co-founder and artistic director of PhotoVisa International Biennial of Photography, Russia, chief researcher at Institute of Theory and History of Fine Arts, Russian Academy of Arts, Moscow; In 2012 one among four curators of “Contemporary Russian Photography”, FotoFest Houston, USA. In 2019 awarded Curatorial Excellence at Pingyao International Festival of Photography, China.

  • Professor, Photocommunications Visual Studies - St. Edward's University

    Joe Vintone is a documentary fine art photographer teaching at St. Edward's University in Austin, Texas. He has received a National Endowment for the Arts fellowship in photography and been a Fulbright scholar in Costa Rica as well as a Fulbright Specialist in the Apulia region of southern Italy.

  • Artistic Director - NUKU Photo Festival

    Marc Prust, an international photography consultant & curator, has produced visual stories in a variety of formats:  edited books, created exhibitions, lectured and organized workshops and masterclasses, on photography. He advises photographers on how to develop and market their work. He is currently The second edition is planned for 2020. His  research, supported and published by the Forhanna Foundation, on sustainable business models for documentary photographers was published in January 2020 in ‘Tell your story - A new role for photography in a changing market’.

  • Independent Curator

    Rui Prata began his professional career as a history professor. He was Director of Braga Image Museum and  Founder and Director of Encontros da Imagem Photo Festival Braga, Portugal. He lectures on contemporary photography throughout Europe and in Brazil and acts as a curator for both national and international exhibitions. He was tutor for the project Parallel – European Based Platform, and he is creating a new photo festival: Imago Lisboa.

  • Editor - The Photo Review

    Stephen Perloff is the Founder and Editor of The Photo Review, which has been publishing since 1976. His own photographs have been exhibited widely and are in numerous museum and private collections. He has curated many exhibitions and is the recipient of the Colin Ford Award for Curatorship from the Royal Photographic Society.
